Hanan Rashed is a Corporate Senior Infection Prevention and Control professional at SEHA, the largest healthcare network in the UAE, where she provides corporate oversight of infection prevention practices across hospitals and ambulatory care facilities.
With over a decade of experience, Hanan plays a strategic role in advancing patient safety, quality improvement, and sustainable infection prevention practices at a system-wide level. She leads and supports the standardization of infection prevention frameworks and ensures alignment with international accreditation standards, including JCIA, Department of Health (DoH), Jawda, and Tasneef.She holds a CIC certification from CBIC (USA), a Master’s in Healthcare Management from Collège de Paris.
She serves as the Co-Chair of the Emiratis Infection Prevention and Sterilization Society (EIPSS), contributing to the advancement of infection control practices and professional excellence across the UAE.
Hanan is recognized for her leadership in innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation, and was awarded at the SEHA Quality Excellence Awards 2025. A key focus of her work includes leading the corporate-level digital transformation of infection prevention data, transitioning manual processes into automated electronic systems and developing interactive dashboards to enable real-time surveillance, compliance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making across multiple healthcare facilities.
She also contributed to a high-impact public health initiative that achieved a 20-fold increase in Tdap vaccine uptake among pregnant women, demonstrating meaningful contribution to measurable population health outcomes.
