Intisar Mahmoud Doghaimat is a Senior Diabetes Nurse Educator with over 20 years of experience in diabetes care and patient education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences and Midwifery from the University of Wollongong in Dubai and a Diabetes Education Certification from Imperial College London. She has extensive professional experience at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), where she plays a key role in patient-centered diabetes education and management. Her work focuses on empowering patients and their families to understand diabetes, enhance self-management skills, and improve quality of life. Throughout her career, Intisar has contributed to developing and delivering structured diabetes education programs and has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for patients with New Onset Type 1 diabetes across inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical expertise, she is dedicated to mentoring healthcare professionals and promoting community awareness about diabetes prevention, lifestyle modification, and self-care. With her strong background, leadership, and passion, Intisar continues to advance diabetes education and positively impact patient outcomes.

Ahmed Abdelmaksoud is a Diabetes Educator at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE, with over 14 years of experience in healthcare, academic, and clinical education. He holds a PhD and MSc in Critical Care Nursing and is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).

His professional interests include diabetes self-management education, diabetes technology, insulin pump and CGM education, and patient empowerment.

He is a certified insulin pump trainer for advanced diabetes technologies and actively contributes to diabetes education, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Dana Al Hasan is a Clinical Dietitian at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, with over 24 years of experience in the field of clinical nutrition. Since 2007, she has been dedicated to the management of diabetes care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Ms. Al Hasan specializes in insulin pump therapy within the Diabetes Centre, where she collaborates closely with endocrinology physicians, diabetes nurse educators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care and promote optimal glycaemic outcomes. She is also specialized in educating diabetic patients on carbohydrate counting, healthy eating, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term diabetes management. Ms. Al Hasan is a graduate of the United Arab Emirates University, holding a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition.

Senae Habib Allah is a Clinical Health Educator, Speciality Nurse and Certified International Professional Trainer with extensive expertise in diabetes education.
With more than 15 years of experience, she has been instrumental in designing and leading evidence-based health education programs that advance community awareness, improve clinical outcomes, and empower patients to actively manage their health.
Dr. Habib Allah earned her PhD in Healthcare Management – Arterial Intelligence from the London School of Economics, and a Master of Science in Medical Education from the University of Warwick (UK). She also holds multiple postgraduate diplomas in Diabetes Education and Clinical Care from institutions in the UK, Sweden, and the UAE. Her academic background is complemented by extensive experience in clinical education, leadership, and innovation in healthcare delivery.
She is a passionate advocate for advancing the role of health educators in chronic disease care. Her work focuses on integrating innovation, research, and behavioral change principles into practical health education strategies.

Joma Jacob is an accomplished emergency nurse holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with over 16 years of extensive experience in emergency nursing practice.
Throughout a distinguished career, Joma has demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in high-acuity emergency care, patient flow coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration within demanding emergency department environments.
Currently serving as a Clinical Resource Nurse, Joma is responsible for overseeing emergency department staff competencies, ensuring continuous clinical readiness, and promoting the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.
Joma is recognized for strong clinical judgment, effective prioritization, and a composed, patient-centred approach during complex and critical situations.
In addition to clinical leadership, Joma is actively engaged in nursing education and professional development, including roles as a symposium facilitator, guest lecturer for postgraduate diploma nursing programs, and Associate Program Director of the Emergency Nursing Residency Program.
