Suhad Marjei is a dedicated nursing leader and educator with extensive experience in clinical education, patient experience, and workforce development. She currently serves as Manager of the Nursing Research and Education Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science and advanced postgraduate diplomas in Education and diabetes education, she has built her career around advancing nursing education and professional development. Suhad plays a central role in designing and implementing competency-based training programs, supporting nursing residency programs, and promoting continuous professional development. She leads all nursing education initiatives at SKMC, including orientation, ongoing education, succession planning, and integration of research into practice. Her innovations include the Diabetes Link Nurses Program, organization-wide diabetes education workshops, and structured professional development pathways. At SEHA level, Suhad chairs SEHA’s Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Practice and Professional Development Committee and the chair of SEHA Diabetes Nursing Advisory Group

She holds a Master degree of Science in Diabetes Management from the University of Sharjah and is a certified diabetes educator with advanced expertise in insulin pump therapy and glucose monitoring technologies.
She specializes in delivering individualized diabetes self-management education for patients with all types of diabetes, focusing on insulin therapy, lifestyle modification, glucose interpretation, and prevention of acute and chronic complications.
Her work extends to research as well. Her dedication to advancing diabetes care, education, and professional development has positioned her as a respected leader in her field and a key contributor to improving patient outcomes and healthcare services in the region.

Nancy is a Senior Diabetes Nurse Educator with over 25 years of experience in inpatient care, family-cantered education, and diabetes self-management training. Currently, she serves as a Diabetes Educator at ADH–Medina Zayed Hospital, where she actively contribute to advancing diabetes care and improving patient outcomes.
She had participated in research titled “Awareness of Self-Care Management among Adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in ADH, UAE: A Survey Study” in collaboration with Fatima College of Health Sciences.
Since joining ADH in 2000, she has brought expertise in program development, mentorship, and leadership.
Her commitment extends beyond the hospital setting. For over a decade, she has been actively involved in community awareness and outreach initiatives, working to strengthen public understanding of diabetes and overall health promotion.
She is recognized as a Public Health Ambassador.
