Cathrena Dileesh Kumar is a highly experienced nursing professional currently serving as an Infection Prevention and Control Officer at SEHA Clinics. She holds a Master’s degree in nursing with a subspecialty in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Nursing, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She is Certified in Infection Control (CIC) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), reflecting her strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
With over 12 years of extensive nursing experience, Cathrena has a strong clinical background in emergency and critical care services, complemented by her leadership in infection prevention across SEHA clinics. Her professional expertise includes healthcare-associated infection (HAI) surveillance, outbreak prevention and response, staff education, audit readiness, and implementation of evidence-based infection control practices in alignment with national and international standards.
Cathrena plays a key role in driving organizational compliance, improving hand hygiene performance, and leading staff engagement and training initiatives aimed at fostering a strong culture of safety and quality.
