Niveen Al Alami is a highly experienced nursing professional and case management specialist with a strong background in clinical care, leadership, and healthcare operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from the University of Wollongong, a Case Management Certificate from the American Academy of Case Management (AACM), is a Certified Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) specialist, and earned a Diploma in Health Administration from Notting Hill College, UK.
Niveen began her healthcare career as the Team Leader for the Department of Health’s Cardiovascular Risk Factor Screening Program in 2004. In 2005, she joined Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) as a surgical staff nurse before advancing to the role of Charge Nurse in Interventional Radiology. During this time, she obtained advanced certifications including ACLS and PEARS, and served as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor at SKMC from 2006 to 2020.
In December 2012, Niveen transitioned into Case Management at SKMC, where she gained extensive experience across multiple specialties, including surgical, medical, pediatric, ICU, and PICU inpatient services. In 2016, she played a key role in establishing case management services within the Emergency Department (ED).
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Niveen demonstrated strong leadership as the Team Leader for the Operational Center in SKMC’s Emergency Department. In 2023, she returned to inpatient care, supporting both the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she continues to contribute her expertise.
