Intisar Mahmoud Doghaimat is a Senior Diabetes Nurse Educator with over 20 years of experience in diabetes care and patient education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences and Midwifery from the University of Wollongong in Dubai and a Diabetes Education Certification from Imperial College London. She has extensive professional experience at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), where she plays a key role in patient-centered diabetes education and management. Her work focuses on empowering patients and their families to understand diabetes, enhance self-management skills, and improve quality of life. Throughout her career, Intisar has contributed to developing and delivering structured diabetes education programs and has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for patients with New Onset Type 1 diabetes across inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical expertise, she is dedicated to mentoring healthcare professionals and promoting community awareness about diabetes prevention, lifestyle modification, and self-care.
