A dedicated and accomplished registered nurse from the UK, having gained a bachelor’s degree in nursing studies in 1996. She went on to specialize in adult oncology where her main expertise lies. Raj undertook subspecialty courses in oncology and chemotherapy administration and teaching and assessing of nursing students. Initially came to the UAE in 2008, where she was team leader in the Adult Oncology Unit. She is now a fully dedicated Senior Case Manager/Coordinator since 2013 (13 years)
Her specific specialization within Case Management is in Pediatrics although she is expert in all specialties.
Raj has contributed to the first ever Case Management Academy Program within Tawam Hospital, being an organizing committee member. Her specific roles for the Academy were within the selection process of candidates, general organizing of the course, course set up and teaching. She also is preceptor to future Case Managers/Coordinators at Tawam Hospital and the Al Ain Region.
Raj is presently involved in pediatric case management related projects. Her case management knowledge extends to Case Management KPI’s and analysis of data. She is interested in all aspects of Case Management from optimizing UM, delivering patient centered care that aligns with the organizational goals of the hospital and wider network and is committed to advancing case management practices, fully supporting the delivery of efficient healthcare services.
Outside of work, Raj enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking sumptuous Indian dishes and travelling. These activities help her achieve a quality professional and personal life balance.
